Why We Built This Site
Although much Wisconsin court information is open to the public, the office holding it changes with the type of case. Circuit files are maintained by the Marathon County Clerk of Courts. A municipal court keeps its own ordinance and traffic matters. Statewide circuit case summaries appear through WCCA, while appeals are found through WSCCA. This site gathers those distinctions with official contacts, useful search fields, and document-request routes.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal court dockets and civil court dockets work in Marathon County
- Court settings: ways to confirm the court schedule when no county daily calendar is published
- Case lookups: how to use docket search fields in WCCA
- Record requests: how to obtain court case records and certified copies from the Clerk
What We Cannot Do
This privately operated reference site is independent of every Wisconsin court, the Marathon County Clerk of Courts, and all government agencies. As a result:
- We do not issue certified copies of orders, dockets, or other court papers
- We cannot retrieve an official case file or docket sheet on a reader's behalf
- We cannot seal, remove, correct, or otherwise alter a docketed case
- We cannot move, reset, or reschedule a hearing or court date
- We do not provide legal advice about an individual matter
- We cannot promise that a listed fee, setting, phone number, or procedure remains current
An official or certified record must come from the Marathon County Clerk of Courts or from the court responsible for the municipal or appellate file. This resource can point to the custodian, but it cannot furnish the record.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate search boxes shown on certain pages and set their own results, charges, services, and privacy practices. Site operations may be supported by a referral fee when a user purchases a service through one of those tools. Any partner result remains separate from an official Marathon County or Wisconsin court record.
