The Marathon County Clerk of Courts handles questions about official circuit-court dockets. For a municipal citation, contact the city or joint municipal court identified on the ticket. This independent site cannot obtain court files, revise hearing dates, or provide copies. It can only direct readers to the public office responsible for the record.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. This resource is privately operated. It cannot retrieve a docket, change a court date, seal or remove a case, provide a certified copy, or offer legal advice. Contact the appropriate trial court or clerk of court for those needs.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Use the following office or search route for a Marathon County request:

  • Municipal citations: ask the court printed on the ticket, since WCCA is not a general municipal-court docket
  • Certified documents: place the order with the court clerk who maintains the official file
  • Case summaries: begin with a WCCA docket search, then ask the Clerk for the underlying document
  • Case files and court records: use the listed court case record request channels
  • Hearings and court dates: review the court schedule routes, then verify the event with the assigned branch or Clerk

For circuit records, contact the Marathon County Clerk of Courts at the Marathon County Courthouse, 500 Forest St, Wausau, WI 54403-5568. The main Clerk line is 715-261-1300, and the official email is marathon.clerk@wicourts.gov. Effective January 5, 2026, the Circuit Court and Clerk retain Monday through Friday hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Confirm access before traveling, especially when requesting an older or off-site file.
